SIGMA-0027 is a deep space research station commissioned by the United Federation of Systems after the First Interstitial War. A schism in storage formats combined with heavy use of EMP weapons on all sides during the Second Interstitial War have left the record of SIGMA-0027 incomplete in the current era. There’s mention of a salvage attempt by an independent vessel designated FSV-1102 Chump Change, but that entry contains only an encrypted deep space network chat log. The contents of that log are sealed against a UFS government clearance of CHIMERA or higher.
Awhile back I wanted to try and exercise my non-fantasy cartography skills and do something different. What came out was this sketch of a space station, which ultimately formed in my mind as a derelict holding hidden and forbidden secrets. After all, what’s technology but a different kind of magic, with its own light side and dark side? What happened on SIGMA-0027? Drop me a line or hit me up on Twitter to give me your thoughts.
